attachment - ICS in Outlook being sent as a .msg file -
I have an application, an ICS is creating similar to the following:
start : VCALENDAR Version: 2.0 Method: Request Start: VEVENT ATTENDEE; Role = request-participant; RSVP = true: mailto: test1234@gmail.com Organizer: mailto: test1234@org.com DTSTART: 20100803T190000Z DTEND: 20100803T200000Z Location: Go to http: for accessing the web conference: //100.200.0.55/Login/ParticipantLogIn.asp and enter the conference ID: 0000 sequence: 0 UID: 352C75A6-0ll7-4B3A-AFE6-7Bl8649CD45A DTSTAMP: 20l00803Tl84455Z click description \ n \ n links bell ow: \ n summary: Test user conference priority: 5 category: public BEGIN : VALARM trigger: -PT15M action: performance description: reminder end: VALARM end: VEVENT end: VCALENDAR
when a Gmail account various Is to it being referred to as ICS files and everything is right. When sent to Outlook 2003 or 2007, it is enclosed as an .msg file and is binary. The server being used is Windows Server 2008. I ics that have set the MIME type text / calendar the process of adding it is just a TMP file on disk and adds as an attachment, then send using CDO Does anyone know any reason why Outlook will be adding it as an .msg?
In addition, we use the same Exchange Server and this attachment
2003 is updating the network for Windows Server 2003
Name = "meeting.ics" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7-bit Content-Dispute: Attachments; Filename = "meeting.ics"
2008
X MimeOLE: Microsoft MimeOLE produced by V6.0.6002.18197 content -Type: text / calendar; Name = "meeting.ics" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7-bit Content-Dispute: Attachments; Attachment 1 > Annex 2 Works in the 2003 edition, there is an application / octet stream and a calendar / text is both calendars / text in 2008
Do you add the VCLender as the main (and only) MIM part or as one of the attachments? There is a big difference.
