InstallShield 2009: detect system CSV separator and update INI value -
OK, as you know that the CSV separator in French is not ,
this ;
. We need to deploy an application for both French and English systems.
What I would like to do is that the InstallShield system will detect the CSV separator and then this value will be installed with the application in INI (I know, INIs is a long time ago by the Registry, Is the design chosen).
Is it possible to do this with InstallShield 2009? I can not find anything for this value in the help file for special property values.
Edit: Since it can be unclear, keep this INI framework in mind:
[settings] separator =,
I want to set the value of separator
to dynamically at the time of installtion Install itself (depending on system settings) I InstallShield I know some "special values" like [INSTALLDIR], but I'm not sure that the system is the one for the CSV separator (you know that the CSV separator is all Windows N Many years Krnon share local settings).
I do not know, or; As part of the INI spec, I understand that this is:
[section]
key = value
Any demarcation actually inside the value There is nothing with the copy of the INI.
This is not clear from your question, if you are using an InstallScript project or the original MSI project, it is difficult to say what you want to do in general though you do not have to Should be able to find the way.
Edit: According to; In fact the comments are reserved to indicate, so I have to make sure that if you have written like INI
[section]
key = value; MoreValue
It may be able to write an INI Call / Key to read the call, in fact InstallShield returns what you expect it to return, you may not be able to read it. It's hard to say without trying.
