sql - Cannot open database "DBName" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'MachineName\User' -


I have created a web application but I am getting this error when trying to add DB

Can not open database "DBName" login requested by login failed. Logging in for username 'MachineName \ User' failed.

I have also tried to manually add but this error gives the error that the login exists with different username .. but this DB does not show in the permissions list.

Any thoughts?
